8/6/03 - The band has been pretty busy lately.  Pat and Mike were on KKFI last Friday for the band auction.  Lynn from KKFI played several cuts off of "Station WOW".  The band was "bought" and will be waiting to play a show for the bidder with proceeds going to KKFI.  Sunday the band was on 105.9 the LaZer in Lawrence and played live in the studio to promote the new record.  The record is in local stores and will be available from KoolKatMusik in another week!  We hope you buy the CD!

6/1/03 - The new Honeywagen record is complete.  Art work has been approved for the new record and it is off to be pressed now.  A lot of work went into this record and the band is pretty juiced about it.  It's called "Honeywagen - Station WOW!" Look for the record on Rock-O-Plane Records right before the 4th of July!

1/19/03 - Radio station KKFI 90.1 is runnings spots starting this week to promote a KKFI Honeywagen auction.  The winning bidder gets the band to play a show for them.  The commercial spots use a part of the song "Break My Heart" in the background.  The auctioning starts February 21st, and the band will be live in the studio.  Stay tuned!

12/14/02 - Honeywagen Played a private party at Union Station.  If you have never been there, the place is "Cavernous"!  The ceilings are huge!  It was a great party, and a good time was had by all ---

7/1/02- Honeywagen will be playing at the Bunker on July 20th.  Matt will be rejoining the Combo on drums for this one.  Yes, he's back from Cleveland!

6/2/2002- Had a "Having Fun with Music Night" night at the Westport Flea Market w/ Jade Raven.  Everybody had a great time!

3/18/02- Honeywagen on the radio Sunday, March 24 on 105.9 the Lazer over in Lawrence at 9pm.  They will play some songs live, a couple of them from the upcoming record that the band is  in the middle of recording now.  Also, on March 28th, they'll be playing at the Coco Loco in Lawrence.  More shows are in the works!

2/16/02 - Jason Meier is now drumming with the band, and they  are starting to line up some shows in March.  Jason really cooks on the skins, and rehearsals are taking place for a new record to be recorded soon!

12/26/01 - Matt, who was drumming, has decided to move to Cleveland.  He sure is a fine drummer!  He'll be missed.  Hopefully a new drummer will be announced soon.

12/02/01 - Things went well at the Hurricane and the Grand Emporium shows.  The Mike's Tavern show is coming up next, which promises to be a cool show.  Mike has also been having fun recording his pals Jade Raven.  It is turning out great, and the hope is to get it ready to go for them this month.

11/11/01 - It was an excellent show last Sunday at the Flea Market.  Had a nice crowd for a cozy place, and the Welterweights even stopped by to say Hi!  Friday was The Wild West Border, and it's  a great place to see bands!  They're just getting it started there, but they are doing it right.  The Go Generation opened and they are a very cool band, with some real catchy "new wavish" type tunes.  Very energetic set.  Honeywagen went on about 11:15 and rocked the place until 1am.  You can turn the amps up good and LOUD there without any problem!  Hope they get back there again soon.

10/08/01 - Had the ReCoRd ReLeAsE pArTy at Recycled Sounds.  The songs off of the record "Payday" were played in the same order as they appear on the record.  It was almost (almost) like the band was recording it all over again.  Some very nice people that attended the show bought the record, and the band thanked them a LOT for doing that.

9/25/01 - Oh, the Leavenworth show!   A fun time was had by all in Leavenworth, KS at the High Noon Brewery & Saloon.  Joining the band in place of Scott for this night was guitar gunslinger Nick Reno, (AKA 4x12 Dave) and he did a marvelous job.

9/17/01 -  Kansas City station    KKFI   90.1   on the FM dial made the song "Spell" --from the Payday record-- the "Buzz Clip of the Week"!  They've been playing it every morning this week between 7:15am and 7:45am.  Tune In!

9/15/01 - The Record Release party at Recycled Sounds has been changed to October 6th, at 3pm.  The band also signed a   distribution deal with Kool Kat Musik in New Jersey at the beginning of September for the record "Payday".

8/18/01 - The weather was real nice, and everybody threw back a couple of cool ones, and jammed outdoors at the "First Annual Rock-O-Plane Records Family Picnic" with Jade Raven, and        The Welterweights.  Had fun just hanging out, and playing real loud.  A good time was had by all . . .

8/10/01 - The Brannock Device opened the night at Davey'sUptown with a great set of tunes.  Those guys are very proficient with their instruments.  Great 3 piece band.  Mike @ the Payday Combo came on next, and played a 45 minute set.   Davey's is a BlAsT!  Next up was Jade Raven.  I sure do like them with Kelly on Bass now!  They Rock.  Last up was Thos. from St. Louis.  It was a good night for playing.  Andrew, as he did the last time, ran sound perfectly!   Hope the Combo gets back there soon.

7/22/01 - Had a good night at the Westport Flea Market.  It was a 9pm to 11pm show, and there was a good crowd there.  Great Burgers, Ice Cold Beer, and LOUD LIVE MUSIC in an intimate setting makes for my kind of place . . .  but it wasn't a hurt BIG people or little peoples ears type loud, because the band brought smaller valve powered 1x12 guitar amplifiers that night.

7/13/01 - Whoa!  What a fun gig with Jade Raven at Big Daddy's in the River Market.  It was a great night to be out and about playing LOUD guitars.  One nice lady wanted to hear "the blues", but the people in the crowd ruled otherwise, and just wanted to rock to original power pop songs.

7/6/2001 - Mike's Old Pal Dave Fee was in town and joined the band for a show at "Nowhere" 3700 Broadway.  It was a three guitar onslaught, and they instantly turned into the Mike Penner Orchestra for that one.
